Let’s jump in and learn more on a fabulous technique “Painting Enamels”
A student called for some help to learn more about painting enamels. And it seemed that I had never shared much on the technique.

Now let’s use these in our enameling projects. Shirley has a project request from a customer for a dog portrait and I think the painting enamels is a great possibility. She mentioned making the hair and sent a beautiful drawing she made. With helping her visualize the hair and how to create them I referred her to my jewel I made for Andre 3000 shown here.
Hi Patsy, I’m new to enameling & want to learn as much as I can. Bless you for all your knowledge!

Wendy McKeown
Hi Wendy
Welcome to the wonderful world of enameling. It is a passion that is intriguing and hard to get enough.
My first book is listed on the page at the top of the home page, How to Enamel Books.
Read this website I have 20 years of information I have written here. Then read the book Enamel Enameling Enamelist. You will have to find a used one as it is no longer published.
I believe it is the easiest to read. Many others are available but in the beginning keep it simple as it can become overwhelming.
After that I will make more suggestions.
Have a great day! Patsy
What is N4?
Hi Robert, N4 is a soft flux made by Ninomiya. Some artist use it as a top coat in enameling. You can find it at E-namels.com
Happy enameling, Patsy
