Did You Know?

What’s on my mind today?

I’m very excited to let you know that I have had some enamelling brushes made. And I want to share them with you. They’re excellent. I can’t wait for you to try them out.

Years ago, when I first started enameling, I was living in Hawaii. The Honolulu Museum Of Art made an announcement, they invited an artist from Japan to demo her style of enameling.

It was very exciting as I’d never seen anyone demo enameling. Even though I had been reading how-to books, I really wasn’t moving along very fast.

The idea of this brush came from her sharing with everyone. For several years, I could find these brushes in different art stores. When I found out these stores were shutting down, I bought what inventory they had left in stock.

For a few years I was able to share with my students. Later. I found a gentleman in Hong Kong that knew how to make the enameling brush. He supplied them for me for ten years before he retired.

Back on the search.

Great news! I found a new supplier. I’m ready to share with anyone that wants to try one.

You can check out the store on Alohilani Designs to purchase one.
